Navadha Bhakti Formulation:
There are 9 types of devotion described in Sanatan scriptures which are called Navadha Bhakti.
What is Navdha Bhakti formulation?
“Shravanam Kirtanam Vishno: Smaranam Padasevanam.
Archanam vandanam daasyam sakhyamatmanivedanam.
- Hearing: Constantly listening to God’s play, story, importance, power, source etc. with utmost devotion and with an unsatisfied mind.
- Kirtan-: To chant God’s qualities, character, name, might etc. with joy and enthusiasm.
- Remembrance: Constantly remembering God with a special feeling, remembering His greatness and power and becoming fascinated by Him.
- Fart consumption: Take shelter at the feet of God and consider Him as your everything.
- Archana: Worshiping the feet of God with sacred materials in mind, words, and actions.
- Vandan: Saluting or serving the idol of God or devotees, teachers, Brahmins, teachers, parents, etc., who are a part of God, with utmost respect and reverence.
- Dasya: Serving God with utmost devotion, considering Him as the master and oneself as the slave.
- Sakhya: Considering God as one’s best friend, surrendering everything to Him and truly offering one’s sins and virtues.
- Atmanivedan: Surrendering oneself forever at the feet of God and not having any independent authority. This is considered the highest stage of devotion.

Best examples of Navadha Bhakti:
Shravan (Parikshit), Kirtan (Sukdev), remembrance (Prahlad), worship (Lakshmi), worship (Prithuraaja), worship (Akrura), dasya (Hanuman), sakhya (Arjuna) and atmanivedan (Bali Raja) – these are called Navadha Bhakti.
